Insomnia

One thing I never thought I’d struggle with was being able to sleep.

It’s 03.32 and I’ve been awake for a while with no sleep in sight. A good night can be awake only once, for anything up to an hour and half. A bad night I can be awake at least three different times and I’m not just talking five, ten minute stints. It’s very rare that I sleep right through. It seems to be at its worst when I’m really struggling. So much so that I’ve gotten used to hearing the local owl do it’s thing.

It’s unfortunately something my body has gotten used to. The joys of having a brain that struggles mentally. And because of that not surprisingly I’m really not waking up great to start the day.
